What Our Lab Aims For

The rapid advancement of wireless communication systems and high-power wireless power transfer (WPT) continues to enrich our daily lives. For that progress to continue into the future, both "developing new devices" and "keeping the radio-wave environment itself clean and safe" are critically important.

Our laboratory aims to realize a safe and secure electromagnetic environment for the future through a two-fold approach: developing low-power wireless devices that minimize energy waste, and advancing electromagnetic shielding technologies that suppress unwanted interference for stable operation.

Industry Collaboration & Technical Consulting

As part of advancing education and academic research and contributing to society, our lab widely accepts joint research, contract research, and academic guidance (technical consulting) with private companies and other research institutions.

🔬 Research Environment & Measurement Technology

  • High-Precision Material Characterization: Precise measurement of complex relative permittivity and permeability for various materials, including construction materials and liquids.
  • Transmission-characteristic & antenna evaluation: S-parameter and radiation-pattern evaluation of various antennas, planar circuits, and radio wave absorbers/shielding materials.
  • EMC Solutions: Academic consultation and proposed countermeasures for electromagnetic noise measurement and suppression.
  • Electromagnetic-field simulation: Large-scale radio-wave propagation analysis using methods such as the finite element method and ray-tracing.

🤝 Acceptance Framework & Procedures

  • Framework & confidentiality: We accommodate flexible collaborative arrangements, including joint research, contract research, commissioned testing, and academic consulting. We work with the university's designated contact point and give due consideration to confidentiality agreements and similar matters.
  • How research proceeds: We can support everything from building theory through simulation to prototype evaluation.

Feel free to reach out here even for an early-stage technical consultation — for example, to check whether we can evaluate a material, or about EMC/shielding technology.
